Got a kid with big energy? A flair for the dramatic? Perfect. Willits Community Theatre’s Gateway to the Stage Summer Camp starts June 29 with classes and a culminating production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical Jr., directed by Joni McLeod, with musical direction by Abigail Strock. Camp students will study song, dance and acting and then enjoy roles in the play. Enrollments are filling quickly, so don’t wait. The camp and performances take place at the Allen Garcia Auditorium at Willits High School June 29 to August 9. Head to wctperformingartscenter.org and click "Summer Camp" to grab your spot.

FIRST FRIDAY - Photo of the Month - Featured photographer John Birchard’s new image, Mendocino Sunset Panorama, 38” x 14” ultra-wide-pano landscape photo debuts starting First Friday, April 3rd, 2026 at the Mendocino Coast Photographers Gallery, Fort Bragg, CA. This exhibition continues all month.

Join us and have a look at the Featured Photo of the Month by John Birchard, snacks, lots of wonderful photos and ceramics and to meet the other members of the gallery.

Celebrate five decades of Mendocino Land Trust’s remarkable conservation legacy at the Kelley House Museum. This exhibit reveals "behind-the-scenery" stories through archival photos and documents that show exactly how your favorite trails, wildlife habitats, and hidden beaches were acquired and continue to be preserved. From its humble roots as a grassroots movement to its role as a cornerstone of local stewardship, you'll see the passion that keeps our home wild and wonderful. Join us to honor the enduring commitment that has protected the beauty and natural history of Mendocino for the last fifty years.

Two Santa Barbara artists, Dane Goodman and Marie Schoeff, are being featured at Partners Gallery from May 7 to June 8.

Between Ordinary - Marie Schoeff
Schoeff’s monoprints on paper combine relief and drypoint techniques to create singular prints. Layering archetypal spherical shapes with raw linear marks offers a spectrum of interpretations. With Schoeff’s minimal use of elements, color speaks first, setting an ethereal tone.
Commoners – Dane Goodman
Goodman’s work often uses common materials, such as cereal bags, soap, and children’s art supplies, along with low-tech processes. He sees these overlooked materials as having creative potential and relatability. This approach lends itself to an inherent democratic sensibility in what he makes.

There is a Second Saturday Meet the Artists May 9th from 5-7 pm.

Call for submissions for PRIDE art exhibit at Art Center Ukiah which will run June 5 through 27, 2026. Honoring the theme, "We All Belong," all are welcomed to show us your art! Protest poster art encouraged. Completed entry forms and all ready-to-hang work (NO sawtooth hangers) must be delivered for jurying to the Corner Gallery (201 S State St in Ukiah) on Tuesday June 2 between 11 and 5 or on Wednesday June 3 between 11 and noon. A series of Yoga classes with Mary Paffard to mellow our way into Summer. Suitable for a wide variety of practitioner. Stretching, Strengthening, Breathwork and Balancing Body, Mind and Heart. A wonderful way to revive or inspire a yoga practice and some equanimity in challenging times.

The non profit organization, Mendocino Coast Jazz Society, hosts a "Jazz Jam" every Monday evening, from 6 to 9pm, at Tall Guy Brewing, 362 N Franklin St in Fort Bragg. Admission is free, and there is a Swing Dance lesson at 5pm
